Jeff “J-Dog” Barnes, 63, of Vine Grove, KY passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2023.

Mr. Barnes was retired from the United States Army and a veteran of the Gulf War. His memberships include V.F.W. Post #10281, Vine Grove, KY, Patriot Guard Riders and Combat Veterans Motorcycle Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Don & Ava Barnes.

Mr. Barnes is survived by his wife of seventeen years, Dawn “Pickles” Barnes of Vine Grove, KY; three children, Jen Bowdoin of Florida, Tiffany Barnes of Elizabethtown, KY, Heather Moore of Vine Grove, KY; three grandchildren, Bannick, Liam, Sasha; three siblings, Larry, David, Judy; and a host of extended family & friends.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until 12:30 PM, Thursday, March 9, 2023 at Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY.

Funeral service for Mr. Barnes will be held at 12:30 PM, Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the chapel of Chism Family Funeral Home, Vine Grove, KY. A graveside service with military honors will follow at the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central, Radcliff, KY.
