Mrs. Brenda Joyce Braswell, 60, passed away Friday (February 3, 2023) at her residence in Waycross following an extended illness.

She was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Doyle Carlton Rogers, Sr. and Linda Kelley Bussell. She was formerly employed with Carter’s Catering and was a member of New River Baptist Church in Tifton, GA. Although she didn’t love the sight of a real frog, she enjoyed collecting anything with frogs and sharing them with friends and family.

In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her step-father, Robert Franklin Bussell.

She is survived by her husband, Billy Braswell of Waycross; her son, Terry Scott Rowland (Lucy) of Tifton; a granddaughter, Haley Elaine Rowland of Blackshear; four siblings, Jeff Rogers (Maureen) of Chesapeake, VA, Doyle Rogers (Crystal) of Tifton, GA, Roy Rogers, of Tifton, GA, and Teresa Morrison of Tifton, GA; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday (February 7, 2023) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel.
