<p>Cheryl Greenwood, 65, of Grand Island, NE died Thursday, February 2, 2023, at Bryan West Hospital Lincoln. Funeral service will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, February 8, 2023, at Apfel Funeral Home with visitation starting at 1 pm. Memorials are suggested to the family for future designations. Online condolences may be directed to www.apfelfuneralhome.com.</p><p><br></p><p>Cheryl was born on June 26, 1957 in Grand Island, NE to Robert and Sharyn (Hofrichter) Boeka. She grew up on the family farm in Wood River until she graduated from Wood River High School. She was united in marriage to Bill Michel, to which one son, Brandon was born. They resided in Lincoln before returning to Grand Island. She was united in marriage to Jack Greenwood on April 10, 1999 in Grand Island.</p><p><br></p><p>Cheryl worked at State Farm Insurance, Pella Windows and Internal Medical Associates in clerical positions until she retired. Cheryl enjoyed gardening, cooking, listening to music, playing with her beloved cat, Louis, and spending time with her familiy and friends. Cheryl enjoyed traveling in the later years with Natalie and Brandon on a trip to Germany and spending time with her grand dogs in Kansas City.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include her son, Brandon (Natalie) Michel of Kansas City, MO; sister, Stacia Mason (Tina Reichert) of Grand Island, NE; mother, Sharyn Boeka of Grand Island, NE.</p><p><br></p><p>Cheryl was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Greenwood; brother, Robert Boeka, Jr.; and father, Robert Boeka, Sr.</p><p><br></p>
