<p>Mrs. Margaret P. King, 82, died Saturday afternoon (January 28, 2023) at Hospice House Satilla in Waycross.</p><p><br></p><p>She was a native of Waycross, but she lived most of her life in Jacksonville, FL, before moving back to Waycross in 2013. Margaret graduated from Waresboro High School, and she retired from BellSouth (AT&amp;T) as a business manager. After retirement, she never stopped working. She enjoyed working with behavioral health children and adults on Merritt Island, FL where she lived. While in Florida, she wrote many accomplished poems and short stories. As a pastime, Margaret enjoyed crocheting gifts for her friends and loved ones, and she even started teaching crocheting classes in 2017.</p><p><br></p><p>Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Willie Cecil Prevatt and Vernice Carver Prevatt; her husband, Ronald S. King; and her daughter, Rhonda Bennett.</p><p><br></p><p>Survivors include two children, David C. King of Waycross, and Ina Marie King Riles of North Georgia; grandchildren, Joshua D. Strickland, Dalton Bennett, Brandon King, Ryan King, Chase King, Clint M. Tuten (Jessica) and Katie M. Tuten; seven great grandchildren; one sister, Genell Prevatt Zorn (Bobby) of Blackshear; and several nieces and nephews including special niece, Toni Prevatt Dennis (Eddie).</p><p><br></p><p>A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday (February 1, 2023) at the Music Funeral Home Chapel.</p><p><br></p><p>Sympathy may be expressed by posting to her tribute wall, or by viewing the video tribute and funeral service recording at www.musicfuneralhome.com.</p><p><br></p><p>Music Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.</p><p><br></p>
