Frank Shumack, Jr., 71, of Hunlock Creek, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 29, 2023 at home, surrounded by his family.

He was born on October 6, 1951 to the late Frank and Dorothy Shumack.

Frank graduated from VO-Tech/Greater Nanticoke Area. He worked at Inter Metro for 52 years before retiring in 2021. Frank was a workaholic, as providing for his family was top priority to him.

He married the love of his life, Alexis Lapinski Shumack, on May 20, 1978. They were looking forward to celebrating their 45th anniversary this May. "Ill buy you tall, tall trees and all the waters in the seas, I'm a fool, fool, fool for you".

Frank had a heart of gold and was over generous to anyone he considered a friend or family. He devoted his time and energy into anything his children embraced. Being a "PopPop" held a special place in his heart.

He shared the same passion as his father for hunting and fishing. His footprints can be found alongside his father's throughout northeastern PA, for they were always together. His love for boats didn't stop with fishing, for he also loved to water ski.

Frank was a dedicated and loving husband, father, and grandfather (PopPop).

As an only child, he was precede in death by his doting parents, Frank and Dorothy Shumack.

Frank will be missed beyond words by his wife, Alexis Shumack; son: Frank Shumack III; daughter: Alex Rosengrant and husband Derek; and two grandchildren, Tyler and Maria (his Mariezie) Rosengrant.

Following Frank's wishes, there will be no visitation hours. A private family funeral will be held.
