Agnes V. Carrus

<p>Mrs. Agnes V. Carrus, age 69, died early Friday morning, January 27, 2023, of cancer.&nbsp; She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Carrus.&nbsp; </p><p>Agnes, or Aggie as she preferred to be called, was born in Hungary and fled from the fight against communism to the United States with her mother Edith and brother Laslo in 1956. She was later joined by her father, John.&nbsp;Aggie worked in a variety of professions over her life including stints as a paralegal, medical transcriptionist, and tax preparer. Her interests included dogs, politics, and art. She loved trying different artistic mediums.&nbsp; </p><p>After living in New York for over 50 years, she moved to Florida to take care of her father as&nbsp;his health deteriorated. More recently she moved to Georgia to be closer to her son and family.&nbsp; </p><p>She is survived by her brother Laslo Varadi, two sons, Ronnie Bell and Justin Carrus, daughter-in-law Susan Bell, and her grandchildren, Layla and Samuel Bell.&nbsp;A gathering to honor her memory will be held at the Norcross Garden Club in Norcross, GA on February 5, 2023 at 11AM.&nbsp;&nbsp; </p>

Obituary

Mrs. Agnes V. Carrus, age 69, died early Friday morning, January 27, 2023, of cancer.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Lee Carrus. 

Agnes, or Aggie as she preferred to be called, was born in Hungary and fled from the fight against communism to the United States with her mother Edith and brother Laslo in 1956. She was later joined by her father, John. Aggie worked in a variety of professions over her life including stints as a paralegal, medical transcriptionist, and tax preparer. Her interests included dogs, politics, and art. She loved trying different artistic mediums.
