Norma E. Palumbo

<p>Norma E. (Capetola) Palumbo passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Chester County Hospital in West Chester, PA. She was 96. Mrs. Palumbo was a resident of Downingtown, PA and was formerly of Bridgeport, PA. She worked as a packer for Extracorporeal in Bridgeport. Norma was a member of St. Basil the Great Parish in Phoenixville, PA and a former member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, where she was a member of the church’s Sodality.</p><p><br></p><p>Born in the Black Horse section of Norristown, PA on September 15, 1926, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Carmella “Millie” (D'Africa) Capetola; and the wife of the late John F. Palumbo, Sr., who died in 1993. Surviving is her loving family including three daughters: Nancy L. (Tom) Porrecca, Lee Palumbo and Joanne M. (Ken) Ryan; four grandsons: Tom, John (Kelly), Scott and Glenn; two step-grandsons, Matthew and Andrew; several great-grand-children; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by a son, John Palumbo, Jr.; two brothers, Frank and Daniel Capetola; three sisters: Carolyn Sessa, Lorraine DeMedio and Mary Buono.</p><p><br></p><p>Relatives &amp; friends are invited to Norma’s Funeral Mass at St. Basil the Great Parish, 2330 Kimberton Road, Phoenixville, PA 19460 on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 10:00 am. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Norma’s memory to St. Jude Memorial Giving, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38015 stjude.org/memorial and/or the Patrician Society, 121 E.
