<p>Joshua Scott Lorig passed away on January 18, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia. </p><p><br></p><p>Joshua was born in Michigan City, Indiana on July 29, 1974. He graduated from Marquette High School in Michigan City in 1992. He attended Purdue University and majored in Marketing. He worked in Marketing and Sales in the Tire Industry for 21 years. He worked in the Hospitality Industry for the last 7 years of his life.</p><p><br></p><p>Joshua will perhaps best be remembered for his sense of humor and his infectious laugh, as well as for his passionate embrace of the things he loved most in his life - - Van Halen, NFL football, "24" and Open Wheel Racing ("Race cars don't have passenger seats"). He was a 2-year alumnus of the Skip Barber Racing School, competing on road courses all over the United States and taking the checkered flag in his finest race at Road America in Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin.</p><p><br></p><p>Joshua was preceded in death by his beloved grandparents Ted and Irene Turley, and his beloved uncle Leonard Turley. He is survived by his mother Monica Garrison (Rodney VanAusdal) of Park City, Utah. Joshua will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege to know him. </p><p><br></p><p>The family will hold a private service at a later date.</p><p><br></p>

Joshua Scott Lorig passed away on January 18, 2023 in Atlanta, Georgia.
