Eugene "Gene" Perry Billingsley, age 77 of Fremont, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023 at his home.  He was born on March 8, 1945 in Fremont, Michigan.  Gene had been employed by Consumers Power Company as a lineman, and he had owned & operated Gene's Excavating in Fremont.  On July 11, 1964 he married Gloria Kay Haynor and she preceded him in death on May 27, 2018.  Gene was also preceded in death by his parents James & Jeanette (Vanderlaan) Billingsley, and by his sister Marcia Billingsley.  He is survived by 3 daughters:  Lauri (Doug) Buter, Amy (Dan) Vincent, Vicki Billingsley; grandchildren & great-grandchildren, including his grandson Kent Michael Billingsley.  According to his wishes, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation or service.  You can sign the online guest book at www.kroeze-wolffis.com.  Arrangements are by Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home, Inc. of Fremont.
