Mamie Elizabeth Gilmore, age 78, of Rogersville, passed away on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. Elizabeth was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Her passion was planting and tending to her flowers, and spending time with her family. Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Elsie Spitzer; sisters, Marlene and Faye; sister-in-law, Edna Spitzer; and nephew, Mike Long.

She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Jerry Gilmore; children, Angela Hayes (Todd), and Bobby Gilmore (Judith); grandchildren, Crystal, Ryan, Nick, and Evan; great grandchildren, Gracie and Cameron; brother, E.C. Spitzer; nephews, Ricky Spitzer, and Charles Lynn Long; niece, Betty Phillips; and several great nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be held at 11:00 am Friday, January 27, 2023  in Speedwell Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Jerry Bradley officiating. The family asks if you plan on attending the graveside service to please meet at the cemetery by 10:45 am.
