<p>Adriaan Johan Troeleman died January 20, 2023 at his home in Sun City Center, FL, at age 94 He was born July 6, 1928, inRotterdam, Holland. He lived in Holland until the end of World War II. In 1946 he came to the United States to live with his father in New York City where he had relocated.</p><p><br></p><p>Adriaan graduated from high school in Holland during the war and graduated from high school in NYC by going to evening school and working. He graduated from North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC with a B.S. Degree in Textile Engineering in 1952. While in Raleigh he met and married his wife of 70 years, Barbara.</p><p><br></p><p>Adriaan’s career took him to Asheville, NC (American Enka), Narrows, VA (Celanese Corp.), Etowah, TN and Raleigh, NC (Beaunit), and Moultrie, GA (Riverside Mfg) where he was Vice-President and Director of Quality Control when he retired in 1994. He retired to Beaufort, NC on the coast.</p><p><br></p><p>He was always active in church and community wherever he lived. And continued to volunteer in Beaufort, NC, where he lived for 22 years before moving to Sun City Center, FL to live near his sons.</p><p><br></p><p>Adriaan was preceded in death by his parents Adrianus Cornelis Troeleman and Mathilda Helena Marsyla and his sister Janet Greenbaum. He is survived by his wife Barbara, Daughter Gwen (Bruce) Sherman, Sons John (Gretchen) Troeleman and Nicholas (Dana) Troeleman.</p><p><br></p><p>In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the charity of your choice.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>#</p>
