Gardenia Brooks Narcisse

Gardenia Brooks Narcisse departed this life untimely on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at the age of 68. She was born on May 6, 1954 in New Orleans, LA to the union of Fletcher Brooks and Ardricher Celius Brooks.  She was the beloved wife of Clarence “Shaka” Narcisse, I.,loving mother of  Dena Babin, Clarence Narcisse, II.,Tremayne Narcisse and Brandon Narcisse.  She is survived by 5 grandchildren, Wendall, Dajdrion, Dashanae, Jada, and Tristan, 3 great grandchildren, Lorenzo, Zuri, Wendall Anthony, Jr. and many nieces, nephew’s other relatives and friends.  She was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Laplace, LA. 

She departed her earthly life surrounded by loved ones at Ochsner Medical Center-Jefferson, LA. Left to cherish her memories are her siblings, Viola Anthony, Brenda Johnson, Percy Johnson, Andrea Scales and the late Ervin Brooks and Shirley Miller, son in law Jason Babin, a host of in-laws and a devoted friend Emelda Lightell and her godchild Sylvia Anderson.  Gardenia planted imprints on many hearts. 

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to the Celebration of Life at 11:00am on Friday, January 27, 2023 at The Patrick H. Sanders Funeral Home, 605 Main Street, Laplace, LA  70068.  Visitation 9:00am until time of service at the above-named location.  In accordance with the CDC guidelines for COVID-19 masks are suggested for all in attendance.  Interment will be private.  Final Arrangements Entrusted to The Patrick H.
