Wesley Norton

<p>Norton, Wesley D. of Linneus, ME passed away peacefully on January</p><p>24 th , 2023, with family at his side. Wes was born in Pleasantvile, New</p><p>Jersey on April 12 th , 1943, the third child to Wesley S. and Evelyn S.</p><p>Norton. Wes grew up in Northfield and graduated from Pleasantville</p><p>High School with the class of 1960. He joined the US Air Force in</p><p>1962, serving in South East Asia and Iceland. During that time, he</p><p>received many awards and was honorably discharged in 1966. After the</p><p>military, Wes worked for IBM, then spent 30 years as a computer</p><p>analyst for the Federal Aviation Administration, retiring from federal</p><p>service in 2000. He then worked for an FAA contractor for another</p><p>three years before deciding to move to Maine where he realized his</p><p>dream of living in a log cabin.</p><p>Wes was kind, loyal, and generous. He was extremely intelligent; he</p><p>was unique; and he was a good man. Wes had two passions: his family</p><p>and his work. He was a wonderful son, brother, uncle, and friend.</p><p>Sometimes he seemed like an extra grandpop.</p><p>Wes was predeceased by his parents, his sister, Beverly Camp, his</p><p>brother-in-law, Don Camp, and brother-in-law, Bob Horton. Wes is</p><p>survived by his sister and caregiver, June Horton and his brother, Ronald</p><p>Norton. Also surviving are his nieces, Terry Davenport (Scott), Robin</p><p>Fox (Dennis), Diane Stein (Pete), Lorraine Dearth (Pete) and Beth</p><p>Rocco; nephew, Tom Horton (Rachel); great nieces and nephews, Josh</p><p>Davenport (Sami), Nick Davenport (Kristin), Dennis Fox (Jamie Kerr),</p><p>Joe Fox (Ali), Sam Horton, Matt Horton, Danny Stein (Tian), Kimberly</p><p>Stein, Sarah Stein, Kevin Dearth (Madeline), Connor Dearth, and Gabby</p><p>Goldberg (Brandon); great-great nieces and nephews, Paisley and Jase</p><p>Davenport, Dylan and Blake Davenport, Ryan and Finleigh Fox, Amelia</p><p>Stein, and Nolan and Ridley Dearth.</p><p>In keeping with Wes’ wishes, there will be no service. Norton, Wesley D. of Linneus, ME passed away peacefully on January
