<p>Collins - Jerome (Jerry) E. Hager, 72, of Collins, passed away January 23, 2023 surrounded by his family.</p><p><br></p><p>The son of the late George W. &amp; Lillian S. (Eliason) Hager, born in Gowanda on January 19,&nbsp;1951.</p><p><br></p><p>Jerry graduated from Gowanda High School in 1969. He then went on to serve in the United&nbsp;States Air Force. After the service, and college, he went on to work at several nuclear plants in&nbsp;the northeast as an instrument technician. He eventually took a position at West Valley&nbsp;Demonstration Project, where he retired from in 2013.</p><p><br></p><p>Jerry leaves behind his wife of 38 years, Ruth (Waterman) Hager, and their four children:&nbsp;Ronald (Cindy) Tadt, Jr. of Lenox, GA, Jason (Shannon) Tadt of Collins, Matthew (Stephanie)&nbsp;Tadt of Collins, and Lindsey Hager (Charles Shantler) of Collins. His sister, Joan (Thomas) Duffey&nbsp;of Gowanda. As well as, nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild, many nieces &amp; nephews,&nbsp;brothers &amp; sister in laws, and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>Donations of remembrance may be made to: Hospice of Buffalo, 225 Como Park Blvd., Buffalo,&nbsp;NY 14227.</p><p><br></p><p>A memorial luncheon will be held at the Gowanda VFW on February 11, 2023 from 12pm-4pm.</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements are under the direction of Mentley Funeral Home Inc., 105 East Main St. in Gowanda.</p>
