Fondly remembered as Doc, Mario Sr. or Big Mario was an
amazing father, husband, brother, and friend. Survived by his loving
wife, Carolyn Bargonetti, son, Mario Bargonetti Jr, and adopted
daughter, Tyle Cooley. Big Mario grew up with his sisters Gloria,
Maryann, Vicki, and brother Joe in Wilmington, Delaware. He made his
way to Houston, Texas and in the year of 1980, Mario used his Italian
charm and stole his wife, Carolyn’s, heart. Six years later they gave birth
to their son Mario Jr., one of the proudest moments of Big Mario’s life.
Big Mario spent over 30 years in construction putting his heart and soul
into building beautiful homes for other families while providing for his.
In 1996 the Bargonetti family met the Tonini family and Mario stepped
into a second role of father figure for Tyle, his adopted daughter. Big
Mario was kind and generous and loved a good joke. He loved music
and often enjoyed playing guitar and drums with his son. In 2012,
Mario made a career change to truck driving where he not only enjoyed
a change of pace but met and affected a lot of wonderful people, fellow
drivers, and administrators a like. Mario was the kind of person that
never met a stranger and always found humor in any situation. He was
always the life of the party and although we feel he was taken too
young he lived a full and beautiful life. Big Mario will always be loved
and remembered for the kind, vibrant soul that he was.
