Victor Louis Goyette, III

GOYETTE, Victor Louis III - Age 83, of Flushing, passed away Monday, January 23, 2023.  Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Friday, January 27, 2023 at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 2319 Bagley St. Flint.  Fr. Thomas Firestone celebrant.  Entombment in the Mausoleum at New Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Flint.  Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek Thursday from 4-8 PM where a Rosary will be prayed at 7 PM and visitation at Church Friday from 10:00 AM until the time of the Mass.  

Victor was born December 7, 1939 in Flint, the son of Victor Louis, Jr. and Leona May (Bowman) Goyette.  He was a graduate of St. Michael Catholic High School in Flint and he received an Associates Degree from Flint Junior College (Mott Community College).  He married Roxanne "Cindy" Worges May 8, 1965 and she preceded him in death July 18, 1995; he married Nancy Sue Dunn October 25, 2008 in Flint.  He had resided in Flushing for over 50 years.  Victor retired in 2000 From GM Truck and Bus as a Tool Maker.  He was a member of St. John Vianney Catholic Church in Flint.  He also was a member of the Knight of Columbus Council 8489 and the U.A.W. Local 598.  He enjoyed golfing and bowling and he was a huge University of Michigan Fan.  

Surviving are: his wife, Nancy; children, Mark (Lori) Goyette of Tennessee, Laura Goyette of Flint, Lisa (Steve) Fougnie of Rochester Hills, and Wendy (Steve) Brown of Davison; step children, Heather Francis of Flint, Lisa (Burl) Shaw of Flint, Andrea (Jason) Aldridge of Flushing and Emily Roye of Bellaire; 19 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter; sister, Grace Goyette of Flushing.  

He was also preceded in death by his parents; and brother, David Goyette.  Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society.
