Our beloved husband, devoted father, adoring grandfather, loving brother and uncle passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday, September 23, 2016 with loved ones by his side. Dick was a very caring, generous man. He was always willing to help others in need.

Dick, a native Californian, was born and raised in San Francisco where he grew up in the Mission district and attended St. Peter’s Catholic School. Dick spent 4 years in the US Air Force from 1953-1957 achieving the rank of technical sergeant. Dick retired from the US Postal Service after 25 years of service. He then spent over 10 years as a noon supervisor at George Hall Elementary School. He was an avid sports fan of horse racing, golf, and basketball but most important to him were his beloved 49ers and Giants.

Dick is survived by his wife, Vera; sons, Michael Gigliello (Tracy), Nathaniel Threets (Enggar), William Stange (Jonalyn) and Daughter Seanna Stange (Sean Carreon); grandchildren Anthony, Lindsey, Saydee and Shayna; brother Ken Stange (Diane) and sister Joy McDaniel; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Ted and Bea.
