Clifton David Dover Obituary

Clifton David Dover, an electrical engineer and lifelong resident of California died unexpectedly on November 12th, 2021 at the age of 62.

Clifton is survived by his wife of 35 years, Jacqueline Dover; their children Kaley, Shannon, Tim Dover, and Kimberly married to Tim Blattner and his grandchildren, Benjamin and Margaret. He is also survived by his brothers, Harold and Irma Dover and Fr. Edward Dover and sister Cindy Eagle.

Clifton was born in Lompoc, CA on June 9th 1959, to Edward and Mildred Dover. Clifton enjoyed raising the American flag starting in grammar school. While going part time to high school, he worked holding a security clearance at GE starting at age 15. He graduated from the University of Santa Barbara in 1981 with a degree in Electrical Engineering. He worked as an engineer manager at Intel for 41 years. On June 7, 1986 Clifton married Jacqueline in Arizona.

Clifton loved his family and spent long hours working hard to provide for them. He enjoyed traveling and scuba diving; he was hoping to take many more trips after retirement but sadly he didn’t even get a day off before.... Cliff could often be found with a cookie in his hand and was always up for taking his kids for ice cream. A trip to a museum would not be complete without many of his stories. We will remember him as a problem solver starting many projects around the house that we are still finding unfinished. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him as a good friend and helper.

A memorial mass is scheduled for 2 pm on November 22nd at St. Rose of Lima on Vine Ave in Roseville, CA. His brother Father Ed Dover will officiate.
