Barbara Edwards LeNoir

Barbara Edwards LeNoir, age 76, passed away peacefully at East Alabama Medical Center in Opelika on January 19, 2023. Mrs. LeNoir was born on January 11, 1947. She is a 1965 graduate of Auburn High School. She went on to earn a degree in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University in 1970, where she was a member of Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. Mrs. LeNoir met her love Clinton H. LeNoir, Jr., while at Auburn University. They were married on June 8, 1968.

After living away for a few years, Mr. & Mrs. LeNoir eventually settled back in Auburn where their two daughters Michelle and Heather were born and raised. Mrs. LeNoir was a devoted wife. She and Mr. LeNoir were a loving couple and a great team. Mrs. LeNoir had always dreamed of being a mother. Having a family and being a mother to her daughters was her life’s work. She loved Mr. LeNoir with her whole heart, and she gave every ounce of her time and energy to teaching, loving and supporting their daughters as they grew-up and became mothers themselves.

Mrs. LeNoir is preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. W. T. “Tom” and Marian Edwards. She is survived by her husband of 54 years, Clint, and their two daughters, Michelle Collier Stiff (Jason) of Alabaster (Birmingham), AL, and Heather LeNoir Robinson (Jeremy) of McCalla (Birmingham), AL. Mrs. LeNoir treasured her grandchildren Reese (15), Wynn (11), Blayne (15), Brody (14) and Abigail Barbara (8-months).

A graveside service will take place at Town Creek Cemetery in Auburn on Friday, January 27, 2023 at 2:00p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully asks donations be sent to Lee-Scott Academy, where Mrs. LeNoir's daughters graduated and where she gave her time and talents for many years.
