<p>WENTZELL, Lester Woodrow – Age 73, New Germany, Lunenburg Co., passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, January 19, 2023. Born in Bridgewater, he was a son of the late Glenwood and Edith (Oickle) Wentzell.</p><p><br></p><p>Lester was employed with Michelin Tires (Canada) Ltd., Bridgewater plant during his working years.</p><p><br></p><p>Surviving is his wife, Patricia Joan (Mader) Wentzell; daughters, Lorie (Bruce) Rhodenizer, Pinehurst; Julie (Jeffrey) Picard, Rowley, Mass.; grandchildren, Ashley, Lawrence and Nathan; brothers, Blaine Wentzell (Celeste Langille), Cornwall; Burton Wentzell (Lisa Williams), Bridgewater; Marlon Wentzell, Watford; sisters, Marion Carver and Marina Wentzell, both of New Germany; many nieces and nephews.</p><p><br></p><p>Besides his parents, he was predeceased by a brother Laurie in infancy.</p><p><br></p><p>We would like to thank all our family and friends, Dr. Weagle, the QEII Dialysis Unit, Palliative Care, VON, New Germany Lions Club, our church family and many community members for all their support during his journey. It meant more to us than you will ever know!</p><p><br></p><p>No visitation at the funeral home by request. Celebration of Life will be held 2 p.m, Saturday, January 28 in Trinity Lutheran Church, New Germany with Rev. Willis Ott officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family flowers only, donations may be made to the Kidney Foundation of Canada or VON Lunenburg County branch. Arrangements entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home, #4895 Highway 10, New Germany where on-line condolences may be made by visiting www.sweenysfuneralhome.com. </p><p><br></p><p>It is recommended that masks be worn for the funeral service.</p>
