<p>Carol E. Sykes, age 84, of Selbyville, Delaware died Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Christiana Hospital in Newark, DE. She was born in Baltimore and was the daughter of the late Francis R. Jones and Margaret L. (Burroughs) Jones.</p><p><br></p><p>Carol had been a legal secretary for Nationwide Insurance Company and was a member of AARP.</p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by two daughters, Judith A. Iosbaker and husband Griffith of Denver, North Carolina and Brenda C. Nash and husband Lee of Selbyville; a son, Jeffrey M. Lang of Seven Valleys, Pa; two granddaughters, Amber N. Nash and fiance Jason Powell and Jennifer M. Tabaka and husband Ricky and six great-grandchildren, Auston, Ally, Aria and Adelyn Powell and Mckenna and Madison Tabaka.</p><p><br></p><p>She was preceded in death by her husband, Harry R. Sykes on December 11, 2022.</p><p><br></p><p>A funeral service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 23, 2023 at Bishop-Hastings Funeral Home in Selbyville. Friends may call from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm. Burial will be held at a later date at the Delaware Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Millsboro.</p><p><br></p><p>In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.</p>Obituary
