Otis King, at times known as “O”, was born to Early King, Jr. and Julia King of Indianola, MS. The Lord called Otis home unexpectedly, Saturday, January 14, 2023. Otis was the oldest of four children.

Otis loved being with family. He loved laughing, talking, and having fun. On a good day he could also pull a good joke on you.

Otis had been retired for some time, due to health reasons. Detailing cars was what Otis liked to do; it was his passion. If he couldn’t make it shine no one could.

The King Family moved from Mississippi to Ohio when Otis was three years old. His parents craved a better life and job opportunities for their growing family. His dad was an employee of Interlake Steel and his mom was a Toledo Public School employee. Otis graduated from Jesup W. Scott High School in 1972. “Once a Bulldog, Always a Bulldog!”

Otis was preceded in death by, beloved son, Otis King, Jr.; mother, Julia King; father, Early King, and sister, Lillian King-McCray.

Otis leaves to cherish his memory, companion, Linda Ohms; brother, Edward King (Yvette); sister, Joyce Parker; special niece, Lashanda King Johnson, and host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and family.
