Tommy Lee Floyd

Tommy Lee Floyd, Sr., 69, of Jesup, Ga. passed away on January 07, 2023, in Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, Fl. following a quick decline in health. Tommy was born on January 5, 1954, to the late, Verna and Elijah Floyd, Sr. in Patterson, Ga. He received his primary education in Patterson, Ga. and later received his GED from ATC. Tommy most recent church affiliation was with that of Upon This Rock Deliverance Church in Jesup, Ga. His work history included Fred’s, Quality Pre-Owned Cars, Detailing Vehicles and he was also a retired roofer. In his free time, Tommy enjoyed fishing and drawing.

Preceding Tommy in death was both parents, Verna and Elijah Floyd, Sr. and his brothers, Elijah Floyd, Jr. and Felton Floyd.

Those left to cherish his memories: his children, Tonya (Raquel) Sims, Missouri City, Texas, Toni Bennett (Ulysses West), Jesup, Ga., Tonya (Hosea) Harvey, Walthourville, Ga., Tommy Lee Floyd, Jr., Jesup, Ga.; his grandchildren, Gabrielle (Sam) Chisholm, Khenzi Hunter, Canecia Searcy, Nequavonte’ Bennett, Demetria Bennett, Kenneth Bennett, Derrick Willingham, Tywan Jones, Jr., Tyrezz Jones, Terriona Key, Amiriaum Johnson, Amaya Mobley, Tiya Thomas, Braylon Floyd, Jaden Floyd, Nazian King, Lebron Floyd, Reagan Floyd, Riley Floyd, Tyce Floyd, D. Floyd; great grandchildren, Chozen Bennett, Paislee Greenwood , Marli Chisholm, Kenneth Bennett, Jr., Kimorra Bennett, Landon Bradley, Kennedy Bennett; his great great grandchildren, Tyree A. Jones and Josiah Mobley; his siblings, Barbara Floyd West, Jax. Fl., Dorothy Floyd, Jesup, Ga., Franklin (Vera) Floyd, Jax. Fl., Shelly Floyd Stephens, Jax. Fl., Gloria Floyd (Eric) Spellman, Jesup, Ga., Cynthia Floyd (John) Roby, Eupora, Mississippi, Lasha Newkirk, Wanda (Luther) Newkirk and Jamesia Newkirk, all of Jesup, Ga. and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends who will miss him dearly.

There will be a viewing held on Thursday, January 19, 2023, at Royal Funeral Home Chapel from 12 noon until 6 p.m., followed by cremation.
