David J. Fransway Obituary
David J. Fransway
March 25, 1954 – January 14, 2023
David was called home to be with the Lord on Saturday, January 14, 2023, at the age of 68. Beloved husband of Nancy Fransway. Loving brother to Stephen Fransway and George Fransway (Laurie), along with nieces Barbara Fransway (Leila Lopez) and Michelle (Colin) Deeds. Preceded in death by his parents Donna and Oliver Kenneth Fransway. David will also be remembered by other relatives and friends.
He was an intelligent, kind, patient person, an excellent listener, with a quick smile and wit, a positive demeanor, and a mischievous streak. Dave liked his sweets (and so did his dentist) but was definitely not a fan of vegetables, most of what he called evil. In his younger days he played card and video games, foosball, billiards, racquetball and also roller skated. He enjoyed walking, hiking and biking as well. Dave was a voracious reader, loved dogs, comedy, collecting memorabilia, giving financial and other advice, and helping people in general. He once collected the signatures of the entire Green Bay Packers team at St. Norbert’s, including Coach Vince Lombardi.
He held a Masters in Psychology as well as a BA in Accounting. He worked for many years at State Central Credit Union and became the Director of Office Operations. This helped groom him for the position of Manager/President of Ladish Community Credit Union until they were taken over. He later worked for BMO Harris Bank in Anti-Money Laundering until his retirement.
Dave fought a very short, uphill battle with Parkinson’s and Lewy’s Body Diseases with some humor and great courage.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, at CHURCH AND CHAPEL FUNERAL HOME, 15250 W. National Ave., New Berlin, from 5:00 PM until time of the Memorial Service at 7:00 PM.
