<p>Mrs. Betty J. Wilkerson Hill</p><p>March 8, 1937 – Jan 14, 2023</p><p><br></p><p>Mrs. Betty J. Hill, age 85, passed away at her home on Saturday, January 14, 2023. She was born to the late John Leslie and Addie Bruce Oliver Wilkerson in Hillsboro TN, on March 8, 1937. Betty was the sixth child of nine siblings.</p><p>Following the early death of her mother Addie, she was brought to Winchester TN. To be raised by her aunt, Bessie and uncle, Harry Price. During this time, she able to enter the Townsend High School and graduated in the 1957 class. During her time at Townsend, she met and married the love of her life, John M. Hill on October 1, 1958, to this union they became the proud parents of three children, Mike, Donna, and Melissa.</p><p>Mrs. Betty was a faithful member of The First Missionary Baptist Church and served faithfully on the Mothers Board until her health began to fail. She was a long-time member of the Phyllis Wheatley Domestic Science Club.</p><p>In addition to her parents, Mrs. Betty is preceded in death by her husband, John M. Hill; brothers, Jamie, Georgie, Fred, Lessie B and Robert Wilkerson; sisters Geraldine and Flora Wilkerson; special aunt Mary Collins; sister- in-laws, Sallie B. Wilkerson, Mary Allgood; special friends, Alice Cobb, Emma Hill, Estella Lyle, Louise Taylor, Susie Brazelton, Jeannette Willis, Iwilla Battles ; cousin Helen C. McKee; daughter-in-law, Gloria J. Hill and her best friend Lassie Taylor.</p><p>Mrs. Betty is survived by her children, Mike Hill, San Antonio TX, Donna “Ms. Dee” Johnson, Huntsville AL, Melissa H. Thompson (Dewaine) Gilbert, AZ; one sister, Eva A. Fox, Columbus GA; aunt, Dorothy Swafford, Jacksonville FL; grandchildren, Ja’net(Terry) Farris, Princess and Tempestt Hill, Dante’ Thompson; great-grandchildren, Jordan and Jackson Farris, Jai’Vonn, Ja’Niya, and Genesis, special friends, Dartis Sisters; as well as a host of nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.</p><p>Mrs. Betty will truly be missed by all who knew her and loved her.</p><p>Visitation will be Friday from 2-3pm at Watson-North Funeral Home with funeral service following at 3pm in the Roy B. Mrs. Betty J. Wilkerson Hill

Mrs. Betty J. Hill, age 85, passed away at her home on Saturday, January 14, 2023. She was born to the late John Leslie and Addie Bruce Oliver Wilkerson in Hillsboro TN, on March 8, 1937. Betty was the sixth child of nine siblings.

Mrs. Betty will truly be missed by all who knew her and loved her.

Visitation will be Friday from 2-3pm at Watson-North Funeral Home with funeral service following at 3pm in the Roy B. Watson Chapel. Interment will follow at Watson-North Memorial Park.
