Mary Salgado Pena, 72, of Midland, Texas passed away surrounded by her family on January 12, 2023. She was born on December 5, 1950 to Jose Salgado and Isidora Martinez in Presidio, Texas.

She married the love of her life Domingo Pena on February 3,1973 who are now reunited together.

Mary enjoyed listening to Tejano music, cooking, hosting family and friends, shopping, and watching the Dallas Cowboys.

Mary is survived by her son Eric Pena (Jessica Rodriguez), Edgar Pena (Mayra Pena), three granddaughters Monique Pena (Pedro Flores), Jaylen Pena (Ryan Broussard), Onyx Pena, three great grandchildren Jr. Lujan, Esmia Flores, Nova Broussard, sister Linda Garcia, brothers Francisco “Kiko” Salgado, Willie Salgado, Jose Salgado and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband Domingo Pena, sisters Irma Porras, Elodia Bravo, brothers Gilbert Salgado, Santiago Salgado, and Abelardo Salgado.

Viewing will be on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Avalos-Sanchez & Thomas Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a rosary starting at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. Avalos-Sanchez & Thomas Funeral Home.
