<p>Norma Ruth “MaMaw” Hastings, was born on May 11, 1935 in Vinita Park, Missouri. She quietly passed away Wednesday, January 11, 2023 in her home, Climax Springs, Missouri, at the age of eighty-seven years and eight months.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>On May 23, 1954, Norma was united in marriage to Morris Hastings and to this union four daughters were born.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Norma was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, JoAnn Miller; a great-great-grandson, Elliott Appling; and her beloved dog “Sugar”.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>She is survived by her daughters, Debra Marler and husband Brian of Camdenton, Missouri, Donna Salsman of San Diego, California, Diana McCullough and husband Jim of Climax Springs, Missouri, and Darla Myer and husband Donald of Jonesburg, Missouri; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Norma grew up in the St. Louis, Missouri area and worked many years for Monsanto until her retirement. In 1986, Norma moved to the Camdenton area to make her home.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Norma made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Union Southern Baptist Church in Decaturville, Missouri. She was actively involved in her church and played the organ and piano for many years.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>In her spare time, she enjoyed singing, playing piano, and bingo. She also enjoyed time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Norma was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p><p>Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm, Monday, January 16, 2023 in the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until time of service Monday in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Decaturville, Missouri.</p><p><br></p>
