Gertrude Louise Gossenberger, 85, of North Brunswick, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at her residence in North Brunswick.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Louise resided in Edison before settling in North Brunswick over 50 years ago. In years past she enjoyed volunteering at her church as treasurer, having served at both Christ the King Lutheran Church in South Brunswick and St. Paul Lutheran Church in Edison. Louise loved doing crossword puzzles and needlepoint. She especially enjoyed making her annual calendars and Christmas ornaments. Louise was also a former avid Yankee fan, having a change of heart once Joe Torre left the team.

Above all else, Louise was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.

Predeceased by her parents, Otto and Gertrude (Harms) Moritz; and her grandson, Anthony Roque; she is survived by her husband of 65 years; Herman F. Gossenberger; her children, Alice Roque and her husband Antonio, Paul Gossenberger and his wife Andrea, and Robert Gossenberger; her grandchildren, David, Jennifer, Eric and Amanda; her great grandchildren, Aaron, Erica, and Lilly; and her beloved dog, Honey.

Visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, January 12, 2023 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at A.S. Cole Son & Co. Funeral Home, 22 North Main Street, Cranbury, New Jersey. A Funeral Service will follow at 7:00 p.m.

Private cremation will follow.
