ANTHONY J. BALDERACCHI WALLINGFORD: Anthony J. Balderacchi, 93, of Loring Court, Yalesville section of Wallingford, formerly of Parker Farms Road, beloved husband of the late Florence R. (Canell) Balderacchi, died Friday, June 2, 2006, at the Masonic Healthcare Center in Wallingford. Mr. Balderacchi was born in New York City, January 9, 1913, a son of the late Christopher and Catherine (Rezoali) Balderacchi and had been a lifelong resident . Tony was employed by Hall Brothers Hatchery of Wallingford for 29 years, had been a school bus driver for the former Rose Bus Company of Wallingford and had been the proprietor of Tony's Roadside Market on Parker Farms Road for many years until his retirement. He served on the Wallingford Democratic Town Committee, and had been a Commissioner on the Wallingford Department of Public Utilities, a member of the Wallingford Planning and Zoning Commission, the Wallingford Town Site Committee, the Cook Hill School Building Committee and was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford. He is survived by his three daughters, Katherine Russenberger and her husband Raymond of Wallingford, Marie Donlon of Yalesville and Louise Selvaggi and Harry Fazio of Yalesville; his two sons, Anthony C. Balderacchi and his wife, Linda, of Redfield, NY and Thomas Balderacchi of Wallingford; 12 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; his sister, Mary (Mrs. Richard) Marx of Marcellus, NY and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his late wife, he was predeceased by a granddaughter, Deborah Anziano, a great granddaughter, Alyssa McKenzie, and three sisters, Onorina Layman, Louise DeMatto and Julie Mangino. Mr. Balderacchi's family would like to extend their gratitude to the doctors, nurses and other staff members of the Wooster 3 Unit of Masonic Healthcare Center for their excellent care, and would also like to thank the staff of C Wing at Skyview Center for their great kindnesses while he was a patient there. His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main Street, Ext., Wallingford, Tuesday, from 9 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
