Whitinsville- M. Doris (Blouin) Bouvier, 102, formerly of Hillview Ln., passed away peacefully on Thurs. January 5, 2023 at Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge after living a long beautiful life. Her husband of 45 years Dr. J. Philip Bouvier died in 2011. 

     She is survived by 2 daughters Phyllis M. Demers of Manchester, NH, and Mary P. Bouvier of S. Portland, ME; 2 grandchildren Kathleen Sapia and her husband Nicholas of Boston and Raymond Demers II and his wife Susannah of Boston; 3 great-grandchildren Claire Sapia, Kittery Demers, and Bouvier Demers; a brother Robert E.M. Blouin of Vienna, VA; and several nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her daughter Ann Marie Bouvier who died in 2016, and was the sister of the late Rachel Bourdon,  US NavyVice Admiral Francis J. “Champ” Blouin, US Navy Capt. Clarence “Pent” Blouin, and Raymond Blouin.Born in Whitinsville, MA on June 14, 1920 she was the daughter of Lucien R. and Agnes (Cournoyer) Blouin. 

     A lifelong resident of Whitinsville, Doris was a Northbridge High School graduate, Class of 1937 and later graduated from the former Fairchild Office School.She worked for the former Whitin Machine Works as an Executive Secretary for 25 years and also helped her husband in his optometry office. Always impeccably dressed, she enjoyed needlepoint, candlepin bowling, and her family. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church and volunteered driving the elderly to appointments. Mrs. Bouvier was a wonderful example for us all and will be remembered for her old school values. She made everyone’s life better just by knowing her.

     Her funeral Mass will be held on Tues Jan 10, 2023 at 11 AM in St. Patrick's Church, 1 Cross St., Whitinsville. Burial will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery. A calling hour at Jackman Funeral Home, 12 Spring St. will be held Tues Jan 10 from 9:30 to 10:30 am. In lieu of flowers donations in Doris's name may be made to NAC Food Pantry, 20 Highland St. Whitinsville, MA 01588.
