It is with tremendous sadness that we announce the peaceful passing, while surrounded by her loving family of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend on January 6, 2023. Rose Marie Foote (nee Collins) age 75 years.

Predeceased by her parents: Harry and Mary Collins; parents-in-law: Thomas and Nina Foote; sisters: Helen Dawson, Katherine Hiscock (Lewis) and Theresa Rees; brothers: Thomas and John Collins; nieces Michelle Lieb and Belinda Collins and nephews: David Lieb and Donnie Collins

Leaving to mourn with cherished memories her devoted husband and best friend of 53 years Ches; loving children: Kim (Bob) and Todd (Dawn); precious grandchildren: Jeremy, Noah, Ava and Caleb; sisters: Mary (Gerald) Murphy, Pauline (Bob) Tobin; brothers: Gus and Harry (Mary) Collins; brothers-in-law: Thomas (Helen) Foote, George (Eileen – deceased) Hayes and Ron Dawson; nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends.

Our family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the nurses, doctors and staff of St. Clare’s Hospital 7 East, you went above and beyond with your care. We would also like to thank the staff of Westburry Retirement Home for your compassion and care.

We will always remember Rose for the love and commitment she has for her family. Rose gave her family all her heart, she was a care giver to her niece and nephew during their journey with cancer, she shared her strength, wisdom and laughter always. She always put others before herself.

Rose always loved a crowd, she loved being social, talking and laughing with those around her. She was always happy surrounded with those she loved.

Rose enjoyed her times in the country and traveling with family in their trailer. We will hold these memories close to our hearts.

At Rose’s request, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at Barrett’s Funeral Home located at 73 Commonwealth Ave. Mount Pearl on Monday, January 9, 2023, from 2:00 -4:00 pm and 7:00 -9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at 2:00 pm at First United Church. Interment to follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
