Kenneth Glen Hunt

Kenneth Glen Hunt was born April 25, 1942 at Vanoss, Oklahoma to Nettie and Ezra Hunt, the youngest of 12 children. He passed away Friday, Dec. 11, 2015 at his home in Ada, OK. He attended grade school at Lightning Ridge and graduated from Vanoss High School. He was drafted and served two years in the U.S. Army. He worked in the oil fields for many years before moving to Georgia and working as an electrician until he retired.<br />He loved the outdoors and spent many mornings just sitting outside watching the sunrise and the humming birds. He loved hunting, fishing and all types of sports. He loved music and playing the guitar and was a talented carpenter. Since moving to Ada, OK in 2011, he was a faithful supporter of Roff softball and basketball teams. He was an avid fan of both OU football and the OKC Thunder basketball teams.<br />Kenneth is survived by three sons, Kevin Hunt and wife, Cindy, of GA; Michael Hunt and wife, Poncavon, of GA and Brian Hunt and wife, Staci of Pittsburg, Kansas. Six grandchildren, Michael L. Hunt, Brandon Hunt, Eden Rose Hunt, Shepherd Hunt, Lucas Hunt and Hollis Hunt. One brother, David Hunt, Fayetteville, NC; three sisters, Sadie Daniels, Tulsa, OK; Virginia Maxey, Red Oak, OK; and June McCann and husband, Jim, of Ada, OK and scores of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Keith Hunt; two brothers, Floyd Hunt, Ada, OK and Marvin Hunt, Roff, OK; five sisters Vera Bratcher, Roff, OK; Thelma Lehman, Konawa, OK; LaVelle Wallis, Ada, OK; Marjorie Vandegriff, Ada, OK and Jean George, Hooks, TX. <br />A private graveside service is pending.<br />Services are under the direction of Smith-Phillips Funeral Home of Ada, Oklahoma.
