Ms. Lucy Williams, 78, Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina.

On Thursday, December 22, 2022 at 11:00 pm, Lucy Williams gladly surrendered her physical body and transitioned into the spiritual realm at her resident. Lucy was born on May 19, 1944 in Manhattan, New York to Robert Williams and Annie Brite Rawles Williams.

Lucy loved reading the Bible and serving God. She loved to fellowship with family and friends, cooking, talking and inspiring people with her faith in God. In addition to reading the Bible, Lucy enjoyed reading Steven King novels. However, her most important passion was to be a loving mother to her children, which she did successfully, above and beyond measure.

Lucy fulfilled her dream of becoming a hair cosmetologist and beautician and graduated with honors. She loved watching TV and travelling, which she did as often as she could.

In addition to her parents, Robert and Annie Williams, Lucy was preceded in death by her son: Tremaine Donald Williams and siblings: James Williams, Robert Jr. Williams, Julia Williams, Bert Williams, Cornillus Williams, Donald Williams, and Richard Williams.

Left to cherish many wonderful memories are her children: Kevin Richard Williams and Tamara Dawn Williams; grandchildren: Kayla Tremaine Williams and Seaira Raven Williams; siblings: Mrs. Anna Lorraine Buonanno (Lino Buonanno), Bermis Williams (Regina Williams), Gloria Williams, Dywatt Williams and Elnora Williams; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A Visitation will be held for Ms. Williams on Thursday, January 19, 20223 from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm at the Chapel of H.D. Pope Funeral Home. Service will be held following the visitation beginning at 2:00 pm.
