A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, February 4th beginning at 12 noon at the Ellston Community Center. A luncheon will be served. Private burial will be in the Ellston and Lexington Cemeteries

Kathleen (Kathy) Kay Huff Garner was born October 25, 1956, in Mount Ayr, Iowa to Don and Connie Huff.

Kathy grew up in the Ellston and Mount Ayr area, graduating from Mount Ayr High School.

Kathy worked at the cap factory, Mt. Ayr Products, Hormel, and most recently at Walmart as a Department Lead.

She loved camping and traveling the country and especially loved being in the mountains. She loved growing flowers with Irises being her favorite. She also enjoyed feeding and watching the many birds and squirrels out her window. Kathy loved spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren and she loved her dogs, Bitty and Poppit

Kathy passed away on December 30, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Connie Huff; granddaughter Paige Elizabeth Oldenkamp and her great grandsons Rhett Allan Haffner and Tucker James Haffner.

Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Lloyd Dale Garner; her children Jeff (Sam) Mercer, Miranda (Scott) Sleep, Sarah (Justin) Kernen; stepchildren Brandy Garner, Brandon Garner and Roger Garner; her grandchildren Sierra (Matt) Haley, Dakota Sleep, Dustin (Lyndsay) Sleep, Quenten (April) Oldenkamp, McKenna Harmon and grandson-in-law Zach Haffner; her great grandchildren Harper, Carson, Madelyn, Morgan, Baylor, Greyson, Isabella, Emma and Bellamy; brothers and sisters Jake (Jo) Huff, Willis (Betsy) Huff, Chris Huff, Candy Huff; as well as many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews along with many other family and friends.
