<p>Sean Patrick Besarick, 48, (Brockton Police Department), passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, December 29, 2022. Sean was the loving husband of Jennifer Ann (Tompkins) Besarick for 21 years.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p><br></p><p>Born January 21, 1974 in Boston, he was the son of Kathleen (Brown) Besarick. Raised in Brockton, he graduated from Brockton High School in 1992. After graduating, Sean served proudly in the United States Navy from 1993-1997 with multiple Bronze Star Medals.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p><br></p><p>After serving for his Country, Sean served for his home City of Brockton, where he joined the Brockton Police Department as a Police Officer on September 14, 1998. Sean helped countless people over his 24 years as a Police Officer in good times and in bad. Sean, often called, “Bez” was valuable and well-respected to his many Brothers and Sisters of the Brockton Police Department and within the community.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p><br></p><p>Sean loved all sports as a child and into his adulthood. He especially enjoyed watching and attending the New England Patriots with family and friends, and most recently with his brother Scott at the Boston Bruins. With his love for hockey, Sean proudly supported and watched his nephews play in their young careers at Bishop Feehan High School.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p><br></p><p>As a sports fan, Sean also found a big interest in collecting sports cards and memorabilia.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p><br></p><p>Sean enjoyed traveling with his family, recently vacationing in Hawaii and Disney Land. Sean was always up for planning the next destination.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p><br></p><p>Sean’s greatest love, passion, and purpose was being a Dad and spending time with his daughters. Sean was always there for his girls whether it was playing a chauffeur, helping with schoolwork, or just relaxing for “movie night”. Sean could easily be spotted in the audience for countless hours at all the dance recitals, and competitions his girls participated in. Sean never hesitated to take the stage for his precious daddy-daughter dances.</p><p><br></p><p></p><p><br></p><p>Sean is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer; his adored daughters, Amber and Abby Besarick of Bridgewater; his loving mother, Kathleen Besarick of Brockton; his proud brother, Scott Besarick (Sgt. Brockton Police Department) and his wife Georgia (Petropoulos) Besarick of Raynham; his nephew buddies, George and Thomas Besarick of Raynham; his father and mother-in-law, Paul and Lou Tompkins of Falmouth; and his brother-in-law, Chris Tompkins and his wife Vivian of Chicago, Illinois. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>A Funeral Mass will be celebrated for the repose of his soul on Wednesday, January 4th at 11:00AM in St. Ann Church, 103 North Main St., West Bridgewater. Private Cremation will follow. There will be a Police/First Responders Walk-Through on Tuesday, January 3rd at 2:30PM followed by public calling hours from 3:00PM-7:00PM in the Russell &amp; Pica Funeral Home, 441 South Main St., (Rt28) West Bridgewater.&nbsp; In lieu of flowers, donation would be appreciated to the Sean Besarick Daughter's Education Fund, C/O Russell &amp; Pica Funeral Home, 165 Belmont Street, Brockton, MA 02301.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
