Thomas “Nelson” Hunt, age 67, passed away Thursday, December 29, 2022 in Covington Care Nursing Home. He was born July 27, 1955 to William Strange Hunt Jr. and Olene Frizzell Hunt who precede him in death. He graduated from Covington High School where he excelled in football. He played football for Memphis State and graduated with a bachelor’s degree. He met the love of his life in grade school, Denise Bolton who he married. They were married for 40 years before Denise passed away in 2020. Nello, as he was known by grandchildren, was outgoing and funny. He loved to fish, quail and dove hunt. He coached his daughters in track and was very involved in their sports and lives. Nelsons second love after his wife (Denise) was his grandchildren, Jack and Camille, who he loved spending his time with the most. Nelson was a dedicated person who enjoyed his career at Caterpillar for many years. 

He is survived by two daughters; Caroline Greggs and her husband Chris, Ashley Winberry, his siblings; Phillip Hunt (Patsy), William Hunt III (Diane), Selena Henson (Barry) and his two grandchildren; Jack Winberry and Camille Greggs.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 03, 2023 at Maley Yarbrough from 4:00pm to 6:00pm.
