Gloria Andrews

<p>Gloria Andrews was born in Brooklyn, NY on May 5, 1931 to the late Samuel L. and Olivia Andrews. On December 20, 2022 Almighty God called her home while she was residing in Chelsea Assisting Living in Monroe Township, NJ.</p><p><br></p><p>She graduated from St. Peter Claver Elementary School in Brooklyn, NY as well as St. Francis De Sales High School in Rock Castle, VA and attended Brooklyn College for 1 year. Gloria was very active in her Home Parish, St. Peter Claver, especially helping out with Bingo. Gloria had an illustrious career with MetLife Insurance Company, retiring after more than 20 years as an Insurance Underwriter and Supervisor. Thereafter, Gloria also enjoyed being a Travel Agent for many years.</p><p><br></p><p>She shared her life with Murray Verdun, her Companion of more than 42 years. After living in Brooklyn, NY for over 50 years Gloria moved to East Windsor, NJ, where she was active at St. Anthony of Padua. She also enjoyed being active in the Senior Community where she resided.</p><p><br></p><p>Preceded in death are her brothers, William Arthur Andrews and Samuel Maynard Andrews, and her sister Evertte Olivia Andrews.</p><p><br></p><p>Gloria traveled the world extensively and visited all but 7 states in the United States. Significantly, Gloria put her Niece Catherine through Boarding School in Pennsylvania. She was very kind and giving and well liked among her peers. She leaves to mourn her sister, Catherine Lewis; her Niece, Catherine Armstrong; her Niece, Taryn (Amin) and nephews Eric (Beryl) and Brett (Sherry); her great nieces, Donna (Sylvester), Lisa, Danielle, and Najah (Pierre); her great nephews, Daniel G., Tariq Salim, Burrell (Cherie), Amir (Dionne), and Sean (Keisha);&nbsp;and a host of other family members and friends.</p><p><br></p><p>A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 10, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Anthony of Padua RC Church, 156 Maxwell Avenue, Hightstown, NJ 08520.</p><p><br></p><p>Interment will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park and Arboretum, 2030 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735</p><p><br></p><p>Arrangements are under the direction of the A.S. Cole Son &amp; Co., 22 North Main Street, Cranbury, NJ.</p><p><br></p><p>The Andrews Family will always remember each expression of kindness, sympathy, loving thoughts and concern.</p><p>We are eternally grateful and express our sincere thanks and appreciation.</p>
