Martha Jean Rhodes Goulder

Martha Jean Rhodes Goulder passed away on December 25 after an extended illness.   She was born in Burlison, TN and graduated from Byars Hall High School. She was employed as a bookkeeper at Mascasi & Sons in Memphis when she met her husband to be, Gordon Goulder of Brighton, TN. They married April 23, 1949. They were blessed with three sons. She then became the first female rural letter carrier for the Covington, TN Post Office. 

Martha is preceded in death by her husband of 64 years - Thomas Gordon Goulder Jr, and her parents John Arnold Rhodes and Mary Bell Rogers Rhodes.  

Martha is survived by one brother  John Asher ( Carol) Rhodes of Addison, Illinois;
three sons, Gordon Keith (Linda) Goulder of Gatlinburg, TN, Jerry Glenn (Marty) Goulder of Munford, TN, and Danny Scott (Debbie) Goulder of Munford, TN;
five Grandchildren Jenny(Bobby) Whitten of Oak Ridge, TN, Brandi (Aaron) Huffman of Burlison,  TN, Jeffrey Goulder of Kingsport, TN, Dustin ( Regina) Goulder of Munford, TN, and Daniel Goulder of Munford, TN; five Great Grandchildren Knox Goulder, Wilder Huffman, Emerson Goulder, Brooks Goulder, and Stella Goulder.

The funeral will be held on Friday, December 30th at Maley Yarbrough Funeral Home at 2:00PM with a visitation to be held two hours prior. Burial will follow the service at Covington Memorial Gardens.
