Carl Douglas “Doug” Wise, 59, of Jacksonville, lost his battle with cancer on Sunday, December 18, 2022. He was the son of Milburn Lee and Mary Lee Fowlkes Wise. He was born June 6, 1963, in Lonoke, Arkansas.

Doug was a farmer and a lifetime resident of Arkansas. He was a “down to earth” guy and would help anyone who had a need. He liked to “tinker” with all kinds of things.  Doug enjoyed cookouts and, most of all, he loved spending time with his family.

Doug was preceded in death by this father, Milburn Wise, and his brother, Body Wise. He is survived by his mother, Mary Wise of Carlisle: his wife, Sherry Weaver Wise; brothers, Steve (Sherry) of Jacksonville, Charles Wise and Calvin Wise both of England; his sister, Ruby Williams of Carlisle; his son, Logan (Jessica) Wise of Jacksonville; his daughter, April Wise of Jacksonville; his grandchildren, Adelyn and Lane Wise of Jacksonville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
