Donald “Beaver” Mitchell, 63, of Harrisburg, Illinois, passed away December 17, 2022. Beaver was born September 18, 1959 in Eldorado, Illinois, the son of the late Charles E. Mitchell and Barbara J. “Peggy” (Wilson) Mitchell. He married Jane Hankins on December 7, 1979. He attended  New Life Christian Center in Equality. Beaver worked as a coal miner and was an animal lover, leaving 3 dogs behind.

He is survived by his mother Peggy of Eldorado, wife Jane of Harrisburg along with three sons: Caleb Mitchell of Harrisburg, Joshua (Megan) Mitchell of Harrisburg, and Jayce (Lena) Mitchell of Evansville. He is survived by a sister, Diana (David) Rinehart of Oxford, FL, and half-brother, Jacob Rampy of Plano, TX. He is also survived by grandsons: Cayle Mitchell and Charlie Mitchell.

Beaver was preceded in death by his father, and brother, Sammie Mitchell.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday January 7, 2023 at the New Life Christian Center with Rev. Blake Clayton officiating.

A time of visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday January 7, 2023 at the church.
