Lowell E. Clausen, 92, of Berrien Springs, died Saturday, January 14, 2017, at his home. Funeral services will be at noon Tuesday, January 17, in the Riess Chapel of the Village Seventh-day Adventist Church in Berrien Springs, where friends may call beginning at 11 a.m.  Pastor Ron Kelly will officiate, and burial in Rose Hill Cemetery will follow the services.  Memorial donations may be made to Your Story Hour or a charity of the donor’s choice.  Online memories and messages may be shared at www.allredfuneralhome.com. Lowell was born June 10, 1924, in Perkins, Michigan, the son of Harry and Armilda (Bogar) Clausen.  He was a proud veteran, having served his country with the United States Army.  He had worked as the Maintenance Supervisor at Hinsdale Hospital (Illinois) before moving from Willow Springs, Illinois, to Berrien Springs in September 1996.  Lowell had worked in construction as a plasterer and carpenter.  His church membership was with the Village Seventh-day Adventist Church. Survivors include his wife, Joan; two daughters, Cindy Clausen and Sharon (Marvin) Coy; three grandchildren: Lindsey (Justin) Shepherd, Steven (Michelle) Coy, and Ryan (Christine) Coy; two great-grandchildren: Jonathan Coy and Claire Shepherd.  He was preceded in death by two brothers: Ralph and Roger Clausen.
