James Phillips

<p>James (Jim) Mikell Phillips was born on August 21, 1942 in Taft, California. He was married to the only love of his life, Janet Finch Phillips, for 39 years until she passed away in 2008. He served in the Marine Corp Reserves for 6 years, then worked most of his life as a union pipe fitter out of the local 57 in Salt Lake City, Utah until retiring from that in 2009. He passed away peacefully in his sleep in the hospital on December 10, 2022 due to COVID-19. </p><p> He is survived by his sons Cody and Marcus Phillips, daughter-in-law Wendy, and grandsons Cameron, Tyler, and Austin, as well as his sisters Linda Johnson and Brenda Hylton and their families. </p><p><br></p><p>To honor his requests, no funeral will be held but rather his sons will spread his ashes in the same place as their mom’s were spread near Shirley Meadows at a later date. In lieu of flowers or condolences, please raise a glass in his memory.</p>
