Doris B. Hackney, age 78, of Plover, WI died December 13, 2022.

Doris was born March 5, 1944 to the late James and Bernice (Lepper) Winkler. She grew up in the area and attended the local schools.

In her earlier years, Doris worked in the restaurant industry and became a head cook. She also worked for the Knights Inn.

Doris married Kyrle Bennett and they began a family. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2005. She married William Hackney on August 2, 1984. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2020.

Doris will be remembered for her social nature. In her spare time, she enjoyed solving crossword puzzles, playing Skip-bo, watching game shows, and frequenting the Olympic Restaurant.

Survivors include her children, Jeff (Brenda) Arrigo, John Bennett, Jerry Bennett, Tammy Bennett, Tina (Jerome Zellner) Bennett; step-son, Keith (Diane) Hackney; brother, Don Winkler; and sisters, Denise Klaips and Jane (Scott) Robinson; numerous grandchildren, and great grandchildren; and extended family and friends.

A service to celebrate her life will be held 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 19, 2022 at Boston Funeral Home. Visitation will precede at the Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until the time of service. Interment will be held in Forest Cemetery.
