<p>ROSALIND ALFREDA “BUBBLES” HOXTER was born on February 28, 1949 to the late&nbsp;Ida Mae Winchester and the late Randolph Orderbie Fletcher in Barclay, MD, departing this life on December 7, 2022 peacefully at home.</p><p><br></p><p>She started Kennard Elementary School in September 1955, always willing to learn and to help, working on Safety Patrol, collecting lunch money to order lunches at the high school. After entering Kennard High School, she was an honor roll student enjoying Mathematics under the leadership of Ms. Velma Kennedy. Rosalind graduated from Queen Anne’s County in June of 1967. She was accepted into Maryland State College to become a Math Teacher but went to Chesapeake College for Business. She participated in the Library Club and was an avid member of the Future Teachers of America.</p><p><br></p><p>After graduation, she worked at Leeds Travel ware, Tidewater Publishing (28 years). We serve a God of a second chance; she then was employed by Caroline County Public Schools for a total of 14 years, mainly at Lockerman Middle School where she fell in love with the Special Needs Department as well as the Math Department. “Mrs. Hoxter, Mrs. H, Ma Hoxter” as she was affectionately known throughout Lockerman Middle School, was well loved and respected by the students, the faculty, staff and administration.</p><p><br></p><p>Rosalind gave her life to Christ 40 plus years ago at Boardly Chapel AME Church in Pondtown, MD and she served faithfully as a Steward, Church Secretary, Quarterly Conference Secretary, Worship Leader and any other hat that needed to be fulfilled. In July 1998, she accepted her call to preach the gospel. After attending classes with the Board of Examiners and Chesapeake Bible College she was ordained on December 8, 2001 under the leadership of Bishop Vinton D. Anderson as a Local Deacon for Boardly Chapel. She was also the founder of G.O.D.S. Women's Ministry at Boardly Chapel AME Church.</p><p><br></p><p>On May 11, 1996 she was united in marriage with Ernest R. Hoxter, Jr., and from this union 3 children and 8 bonus children.</p><p><br></p><p>Including her Mother and Father, she was preceded in death by 6 brothers and 1 sister; John M. Winchester, Sr., Randolph T. Fletcher, Ronald S. Fletcher, Rev. H. Russell Winchester, Lawrence E. Fletcher, Kennard N. Winchester, Sr., and sister, Lois J. Massey. She was also preceded in death by a host of aunts, uncles and cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>She leaves cherished memories with, Husband, Ernest, her 3 boys (as she always called them), Devereau (Simone), Larry (Lavette) and her baby boy Shane; 8 bonus children, James, Carol, Patricia, Sheila, Fontella, Martrina, Jameson and Orgirina; 41 grandchildren, and 4 great-grandchildren; Godson, Kennard Winchester, Jr.; Goddaughter, Charlene Wilkerson; SPECIAL Sisters and Friends, Melva Winchester, Joanne Hynson, Joan Lewis and Paulette Jones, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends beyond friends.</p><p><br></p>
