Robert Merle Blair

Robert Merle Blair January 5, 1918 – December 27, 2016 Robert passed away peacefully at the age of 98. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Margaret Lester Blair, of 36 years, and his second wife of 30 years, Mary Oliver Blair. He was also predeceased by his brother, Donald Blair, and his sister, Jeanne Raap. Robert is survived by his two children, Marsha Pucci, and Keith Blair and was preceded in death by eldest son Robert W. Blair. He also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Robert graduated from Sacramento High School in 1936, and attended Sacramento Jr. College. He served in the Army Air Corps in Okinawa during World War II. After being discharged from the service he worked for the Department of Justice for 40 years as a Senior Fingerprint Technician. A private memorial gathering of family and friends will be held in the East Lawn Memorial Park Chapel, 4300 Folsom Blvd., Sacramento, CA on Wednesday, January 4, 2016, between 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. Robert will be laid to rest with military honors.
