Charles Bernard Elmore, 51, of Conover passed away on Friday, December 2, 2022 at his residence.

He was born December 23, 1970 in Lincoln County to Charles Edward Elmore of Gastonia and the late Felishes Lattimore. Charles was employed in the textile industry.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his sister, Elaine Elmore.

Daughter: Ashanti Freeman and wife Nicole of Hickory

Brother: Thomas Elmore of Charlotte

Sisters: Daphanie Thompson of Indianapolis, IN

             Veronica Elmore of Charlotte

Grandchildren: Jeremiah Freeman, Kadie Freeman, Leilani Bray, and Ava Bray

A homegoing service to celebrate Charles’ life will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service in Newton. Minister Len Moss will officiate. Burial will follow at Washington Park Cemetery in Conover. Quiet hour will be held prior to the service from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at Bennett Funeral Service. Those serving as pallbearers are; Christopher Freeman, Tyrique Elmore, Rodney Harrington, Freddy Link, Tim Horne, and Xavier Elmore. Those serving as flower girls are Charles’ nieces.
