Elizabeth K. Schreiber

<p>On Wednesday, November 30th, Elizabeth K. Schreiber passed away at the age of 91 in Voorhees, NJ. Elizabeth was born in October 1931 in Györ, Hungary to parents Antal and Margit Horvath. She married Sandor Schreiber on July 15, 1950, and they welcomed their daughter Zsuzsa in August of 1951. In 1956 the family of three fled their home during the Hungarian Revolution and found refuge in the United States, eventually settling in New Jersey.</p><p><br></p><p>Elizabeth was one of four children and was adored by all in her family. She maintained close contact with her two brothers who remained in Hungary as well as her sister who lived nearby in New Jersey. She never lost her love for her homeland, and Sandor and she often traveled back to Hungary to visit with her family.</p><p><br></p><p>She was known by her grandchildren and their friends as ‘Anyu’, Hungarian for mom. Her loving, nurturing nature made her a second mom to many, often inviting others into her dining room for home cooked Hungarian meals and taking in many animals throughout her life.</p><p><br></p><p>Elizabeth is survived by her brother Istvan, of Györ, Hungary, and her three grandchildren: Courtney, her husband Jon and their two children, of Seattle; Ashley and her husband Nick, of Chicago; and Brian and his wife Kat, of Orlando. She was preceded in death by her husband and daughter.</p><p><br></p><p>There will be a memorial service for Elizabeth on Friday December 9th, beginning at 2:00 PM, at Bradley Funeral Home,. Rt. 73 &amp; Evesham Rd., Marlton, NJ.</p><p><br></p><p><br></p>
