Paul Perry Poole, 72, of Clermont, died on December 5, 2022, at home. He was born on April 16, 1950 in Anniston, AL, the son of James C. Poole and Martha Francis (Perry) Poole.

Paul graduated from College Park High School, Class of 1968. Following graduation, he served in the U.S. Navy. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree from North Adams State College. He married his sweetheart, Elizabeth (Betty) Sayers, and they settled in Pittsfield, MA, where they raised their two children, Laura and Paul Jr. They resettled in Florida in 1997. They celebrated 52 years of marriage in April. Paul was the consummate family man, and loved playing with his grandchildren and great grandson. He also enjoyed playing the guitar, boating, and camping in his RV with his family.

In addition to his parents, Paul was preceded in death by a brother, James Jr. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Betty) Sayers Poole, his daughter, Laura (Poole) Messier and her husband, Gregory, of Ocala; his son, Paul Poole, Jr. and his wife, Cyndi, of Pittsburgh, PA; five grandchildren, Michael (Amanda) Cachat, Austin (Courtney) Cachat, Hannah Poole, Rebecca Poole, and Alyssa Poole; and one great grandson, Lincoln Cachat, and one additional great grandchild expected in July, 2023.

A service of remembrance will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, December 9, 2022 at Brewer & Sons Funeral Home,1018 West Ave, Clermont. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to COPD Foundation (copdfoundation.org) in his memory.
