<p>On Thursday, December 1, 2022, Roger Scott Harris unexpectedly passed away at age 58.</p><p>Roger was born on May 5, 1964, in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from Del City High School in 1982 and played on the 1980 State Championship basketball team while in school. Roger had many careers during his life, which included a 3 year enlistment in the Air Force, a physical therapy technician at Bone and Joint Hospital, and a bookkeeper for a local plumbing company. On June 23, 2001, he married Sheila Harris and he fully embraced his new role as father to Roy Malick, Tammy Hill, and Renee and Todd Snodgrass and as Grandpa to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.</p><p><br></p><p>Roger loved all things associated with Sooner Football. He loved his tailgate parties, whether on campus or in his friends’ garages. Roger enjoyed all sports and his athletic ability in his school days was unmatched. As he matured, he continued to participate in softball leagues and bowling teams with his lifelong childhood friends. Roger also loved playing golf and drinking beer with the guys. He was known for his amazing knowledge of trivia, his laughter, the love for his grandchildren, and his incredibly unique sense of style.</p><p></p><p>Roger is survived by his wife, Sheila, his 3 children, Roy, Tammy, and Renee, his mother, Patsy Patrick, his sister, Deanna Harris, grandchildren, Cheyenne Malick, Wesly Malick, Dakota Downey, Virginia and Derek Root, Britany Burris, and Lorain Bradley, great grandchildren, Bently Calvart, Aria Snodgrass, Jackson Snodgrass, Freya Root, Iris Root, and Lucian Root, and niece, Katelyn Mires, nephew, Richard Godfrey, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.</p><p><br></p><p>A viewing will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022, from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. and Monday, December 5, 2022, from noon -8:00 p.m. at Barnes Friederich Funeral Home in Midwest City. Family will be available on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. A celebration of Roger’s life (casual attire) will be held on Thursday, December 8, 2022, from 1:00 – 5:00 p.m. at the Elks Lodge in&nbsp;Midwest City. On Thursday, December 1, 2022, Roger Scott Harris unexpectedly passed away at age 58.

Roger was born on May 5, 1964, in St. Louis, MO. He graduated from Del City High School in 1982 and played on the 1980 State Championship basketball team while in school.
