Gail J. Andreini Obituary

Gail J. "Mom" Andreini

Age 85, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2022. Gail joins her beloved husband, Carl Andreini, who preceded her in death, November 6, 2022. Loving Mother of Sheila Odom, Steven(Darcie) Andreini and Bruce(Hilary) Andreini; treasured "Granny" of Garrett (Christina) Odom, Shain Andreini, Sarah (Collin) Brown, and Madelyn and Siena Andreini; proud great grandmother of Jackson & Bryson Odom and Finley Brown; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her son-in-law Jerry Odom.

Gail was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania - the daughter of the late Gordon and Marian Lovett. A graduate of Brentwood High School, Gail modeled for Horne’s Department Store and briefly worked in the office of Schneider's Dairy until she transitioned into the roles of devoted full-time mother and homemaker. She instilled in her family the importance of providing a beautiful home filled with love and laughter.

She married her loving husband, Carl, in 1959 - celebrating an incredible 63 years together this past June. Their love and dedication for each other was a true inspiration to everyone who had the privilege of witnessing it, and will be especially cherished by their descendants who seek to follow in their footsteps.

Gail lived a fulfilling, accomplished life and was adored by all who knew her. She enjoyed laughing and socializing with family and friends, actively participating in Ruthfred Acres Woman’s Club for many years and working at the Congregation of the Holy Ghost Seminary.

She and Carl loved to travel, touring Europe, cruising the Caribbean, and road tripping around the United States in their RV. They were also fortunate enough to be snowbirds during retirement, spending their winters in Florida where they met new friends and stayed active.

We remember Gail’s passion for cooking - especially baking - for her family; serving as the quintessential hostess when entertaining friends; shopping for clothes and snagging bargains at garage sales and flea markets; camping in their RVs; playing bingo and swimming with dear friends in Florida- all encompassed by immense laughter and genuine admiration that only grew stronger over the years among both family and lifelong friends.

She will be greatly missed, but left an incredible legacy to us all. We will hold our memories close to our hearts and find comfort in the lovebirds’ exuberant reunion in Heaven, dancing in each other’s arms, exactly where they belong.

Internment will be private at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies.

A Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, April 2, 2023 at 1 PM in the Classroom of the Bethel Park Community Center, 5151 Park Avenue, Bethel Park, PA 15102. A luncheon will follow immediately. Friends and family are welcome to attend.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Alzheimer’s Association at www.alz.org.
